Light Sport Weight Cashmere Recycled Yarn in Black

100% cashmere yarn in black, carefully reclaimed from a discarded women’s turtleneck.  This yarn is made up of several fine 2-ply strands held together, and is a light sport weight at about 13 wraps per inch. Strong, yet soft.

This sweater yielded four skeins:

• 470 yards / 430 meters, 3.7 ounces / 106 grams, 1 knot
• 330 yards / 302 meters, 2.6 ounces / 73 grams, no knots (Quantity: 2)
• 310 yards / 283 meters, 2.5 ounces / 70 grams, no knots

Cashmere is light, warm, soft, and surprisingly durable. Handwash in lukewarm water with a wool-safe detergent (or a squirt of shampoo and a dab of conditioner), and dry flat.
