Sport Weight Cashmere Recycled Yarn in Ivory

100% cashmere yarn, carefully reclaimed from a discarded women’s sweater dress.  This yarn is made up of several fine 2-ply strands held together, and is sport weight at 12 wraps per inch.  The color is a classic creamy off-white, or ivory.

This sweater yielded five skeins:

• 310 yards / 283 meters, 3.1 ounces / 87 grams, 2 knots
• 290 yards / 265 meters, 3.0 ounces / 84 grams, 2 knots (Quantity: 2)
• 270 yards / 247 meters, 2.7 ounces / 77 grams, no knots
• 210 yards / 192 meters, 2.0 ounces / 58 grams, 1 knot

Cashmere is light, warm, soft, and surprisingly durable. Handwash in lukewarm water with a wool-safe detergent (or a squirt of shampoo and a dab of conditioner), and dry flat.
