Lace Weight Recycled Cashmere Yarn in Chartreuse

100% cashmere yarn, carefully reclaimed from a discarded women’s sweater.  This yarn is two-ply and lace weight, soft and luxurious. The color is a pale yellow-green, or chartreuse, very vivid in sunshine (photos were taken in filtered sunlight) but more muted indoors.

This sweater yielded four skeins:

• 740 yards / 677 meters, 1.9 ounces / 55 grams, no knots
  
• 650 yards / 594 meters, 1.7 ounces / 48 grams, 2 knots
• 630 yards / 576 meters, 1.6 ounces / 45 grams, no knots
• 540 yards / 494 meters, 1.4 ounces / 40 grams, 2 knots

Cashmere is light, warm, soft, and surprisingly durable. Handwash in lukewarm water with a wool-safe detergent (or a squirt of shampoo and a dab of conditioner), and dry flat.
